• Help! I have knocked out a tooth!

    toothknocked

If you have knocked out a tooth you should attend or contact your Dental practice immediately. The sooner a knocked out tooth is re-implanted the more likely it is to embed itself back into the gum.
    In the meantime:

    • Rinse the tooth in milk, holding it by the crown (avoiding the roots)
    • If possible put the tooth back into the socket
    • If you cannot re-implant the tooth hold it between your cheek and gum until you see a dentist or store in a clean container in either milk or your saliva
  • I have broken a tooth! What should I do?

    In the meantime:

    • Get to your dentist as soon as possible
    • Apply a cold pack to the cheek or lips over the broken tooth.
    • Rinse your mouth well with warm water
    • Store any fragments in a clean container in either milk or your saliva
